What 3D printer...

Put a venting hole about 3/4 of the way up the side of the printer enclosure , Put the extract fan & housing on the outside of the enclosure the printer sits in take a 1.5 " pond pipe through the wall to the outside , making sure it is at least 500 mm from any opening , window o trickle vent vent
You can easily print workable hood/ enclosure for both the enclosure and the external wall holes on both sides . Then if you chose to you can slip the HEP filter inline between your printer enclosure and the outside wall.

I'm treating the vented fumes from my Prusa printer similar to the requirements for a gas or oil fired balance flue boiler .
I suppose I'm fortunate in that I can vent the enclosure's fumes direct into the garden area some 30 mtrs from the bungalow & as I have no neighbours in close vicinity to the outlet .

Sure. Looking at it now, only 3 hours for 5 off. I’ll set off the print and fingers crossed while I pop out to sort out some plastering.

It’s now gone. I tried to drill and tap it. That wasnt a very successful experiment

anyway, Thingiverse is awesome, they even have sex toy files. I need a bigger printer !

I tried printing an object and then drilling a hole in it for speed and snapped two drills. I THINK the plastic melted and then solidified when I stopped and next time I pulled the trigger "ping"

SO..who is around that can help me out quickly...lol
I need a hole put through a dibber.... My grandson has come up with the design after seeing me print one for my wife. he reckons you can drop seeds down it as my wife only has the use of one arm and when she pulls out the dibber the hole collapses. He needs it for an invention project tomorrow..Thats my problem.

Cant help with hole drilling, but I made a seed sowing machine for my A level metal work project

still up mate...strangely I am almost glad you have the same problem as me ..I thought it was me or my machine. lol

Wow I printed mine in 2 hours last time. I think mine is smaller..

Printed really well but the hole was way too small for seeds. As I had reduced size to 30% for speed and to be honest it's possibly the right size. Maybe 40%
I drilled it out but even with the pilot hole that PLA is horrible to drill.
It would be nice with a much larger external funnel but would make it harder to print.

If it comes back tonight I will photo it. I sent it in with a pot and compost and packet of seeds for them to grow a tomato plant.

Much easier with these plastics to use a heated element to push through. Barely needs to be above boiling point. Boil a suitably sized rod in a cup of water and shove it through.

Anyhow, it's a concept piece isn't it? Still need to solve the problem of dirt finding its way up the hole. Would be easy to design a compliant mechanism which shuts off the hole when you press down and opens it as you lift but then I don't know what the age of your grandchild is.
