Well what can I say before ya pass judgement This was my second attempt at using the tig welder. I know its a long way from perfect but the winter nights are going to be drawing in and the man cave cellar has central heating now so plenty of seat time to learn. Some time back I bought Jodies dvd's from the states so I might just set myself up a dvd tv combi in the cellar and chill out down there in the evenings with some Badger Beer from the Badger Brewery
No I didn't make this today, or yesterday, but 10 days ago. It has taken me that long to dig up this thread.
This pond cover doesn't need a whole set of step-by-step photos; and I didn't take any, but a photo of a finished installed item is always worth looking at.
10 ft X 5 ft pond cover for a local customer.

That table is brilliant, I really like it, especially that the welds have been kept on the underside...makes the spanners appear to float, and I have a big box of old spanners
I kind of rushed it and the spanners were rusty as hell, I just threw them on the bench and welded them up, then thought perhaps I should have cleaned em up first, but the sun was up and I was a tad warm, I think if more time was spent laying them out it could have been better, BUT Joe people love it, its strong too given most of these old spanners are from an age where quality steel was the norm! It's fairly flat and can certainly pass as a table, get them spanners out haha
lol, I guess so.. one of them is Bluepoint so the price goes up, another is 1944 so the price goes up haha I'd like to do a big one, these spanners have been on the floor outside the workshop for 20 years or so, perhaps I should throw a few snapoff's out for a while see how they cope lol
Heck I like that table! I know an old guy who would love one of them in his conservatory.
Christmas sorted, all I need do now is find a bag of old spanners
What do you think of this little lot fellas, Not mine, A disabled chap in the USA makes all sorts of things from old spanners. Lots more of his work on the internet.
Not me as such but my old mad, here he is at 84, had a stoke in December but he plods on and on, however things are tough.. He's has worked hard all his life and still does.
I've used that Arc all my life, it nearly killed me when I were about 12, I got stuck to both leads in the rain :S
