I turned this nice complete, but in need of some tlc in to scrap.
Striped the threads on the reducer and locking bush.

Not broke today.
But can not fix at all today.
Yes we knew the glass was broken.
They are avaialble as a spare part.
I even fixed the wick gear.
I then de-rusted it.
The rust you see is surface flash rust.
What you also can see is a leak.
Or many leaks.

I broke my offsider's opinion of his felling skills.
He bet me a bottle of Whisky that this tree wouldnt fit through the gap and we would spend the rest of the day dealing with a huge hung up Tree.
So I dumped it through the gap and forced him to take a picture of me gloating.
On the way home we stopped at the bottle shop .

The cask strength one in the little square bottle. He helped me drink it too, but he had to suffer through being wrong all evening.

The hammer head is the item to be interested in.
Cleaned it up, made a shaft and a nice brass wedge.
Fitted it all was good.
