Lol. Having a sale can be good. But also bad.
Aye, the 'clear out' just creates space for accumulating more stuff.

Yes that's the good bit of a clear out. Will be making room this year for new goodies and don't give a toss what she says about itAye, the 'clear out' just creates space for accumulating more stuff.
Good idea. Thank youYou might like to make yourself one of these from an old 7/16" whit spanner, gets to the adjusting nut even on the shortest stroke, also works as a crank to check the ram travel.

Ok. I got a 1/2 bolt out the shaper. This bolt is 12 tpi unc. Also the others are most likely whitworth rather than UNC, easiest way to tell would be if there is a 1/2" one, threads for Whit is 12TPI, UNC is 13.
My apologies. After very close examination it's whitworth. Can just see the difference in the degree in the cut 55If it is 12TPI then it is Whitworth, you can also usually tell by the monster sized hex on it
Thanks for the information. Will put an order in for some whitworth bolts. Sets. Grub screws. And the smaller stuff is identical between unc and whitworth. That's where I got confused. As said though, the easy way is to find a 1/2" bolt/screw as 1/2" Whitworth is 12TPI where 1/2" UNC is 13TPI, so easy to distinguish them. All other sizes of whitworth and UNC share the same TPI until you go big, think over 1 1/2" from memory.
The tpi is identical but angle different, whit is 55 degrees where UNC is 60.Thanks for the information. Will put an order in for some whitworth bolts. Sets. Grub screws. And the smaller stuff is identical between unc and whitworth. That's where I got confused.
That's my thoughts to. Will pull them.Yep, get all that out or it'll only wear stuff out.
