Took a quick pic which might show it.give me half and hour and I will post what its printed...its not finished yet but my grandson is sitting watching it. lol it might make more sense seeing what I have done to it..

Note all the support.
I added that as the stl file came with none......but i guess the tail would fall off
if i printed without support?STL never have the basic supports, ok almost never, some folk design in supports to snap out, like the adjustable spanners for example. Curas basic setting is "from buildplate" that's ground up, "everywhere" would put supports on the dinos back if his tail curved over.
There are also difference in PLA and ABS "build angles" and bridging...….

phew...lol yeah I found out cura sticks supports all over the place if you use defaults...lol I thought I had defeated it..by using touching build plate...but I think it ignored me...

Ok got a couple of days to play.
I need to make a shower finger to keep the water button pressed. Its not needed as quick as my pole roller pin so i am going to try and learn to sort a basic design.
Whats the simplest 3d design software to use to start with. I tried tinker cad but it was not intuitive. Also need internet as its cloud based.
Similar for fusion 360 . Bit over kill to start with and also needs internet.
Need something basic to get up to speed quickly.....if such a thing exists.

Fusion360 only needs internet access every 14 days, you can work offline most of the time.

Not cheap, that is for sure but is a great programme.
OnShape is a cloud based programme which is very much like SolidWorks, I suppose it would be as it was some of the developers of SolidWorks that did it. I signed up at the start when it was totally free but being cloud based put me off so I never kept up with its progress. Not sure if it is still free or not but might be worth a look.

Yes, it is cloud based and works in a browser but it seems to work ok.
I use Solidworks at my job 8 hours a day and 5 days a week and Onshape is very similar.
In some respects it is better because they have combined some commands.
For instance the extrude command can either cut or add or intersect
I use it and Fusion 360.
I use Simplify3D for 3D printing.
It is not cheap but it works very well

this is what I am trying to design. mine would be primitive this would be better but according to the comments it does not print correctly and as after slicing it seems like it will take 5 hours to print. so the comments might be correct.
how do I check what it will print out like?

The other thing about Onshape is that there is also a Tablet version that is fully useable.
So I can design objects for my 3D Printer while sat on the sofa watching TV
