Right, opinions on bracing this gate. Currently with no supports it’s a bit flexible. Any ideas which would be best. Some 45 angle pieces in the left hand corners like the first pick? That would stop it bending down I guess. Or diagonal cross bits like the second pic

Just my luck. Don’t have enough material to make them Going to see if there’s annoying local I can buy some from. I have enough to do one cross.full diagonals as per second green pic, best .
Don't tell them you think they're annoying, they'll never sell you anything. Coat > door, I'm guessing predictive text on your phone?Going to see if there’s annoying local I can buy some from.

I was thinking that. I have 6m of 25mm x 8mm flat bar and I have some 25 x 6 as well but not enough of either to span the length. I have a lot of other bar as well but all too wide. I called a place near ish me and they want (make sure you’re seated) £26 +vat for one length of 25x6mm barfred king typicay eh , got anything you can sacrafice and replace later to get the steel from? , your doing a damn fine job so dont skimp on it now. I like your attention to detail ,belter.

Likewise, or throughout the night when I’m not sleepingNormally when inspiration comes to me.
One cross member across each would be the traditional approach. Top left to bottom right.I have enough to do one cross.
I just offered it all up, I’m going to do that it looks nice still. One cross member across each would be the traditional approach. Top left to bottom right.
