How did you manage to get it on at all with the wrong number of splines, was it not obviously not fitting?
I'd have been tempted to weld the spider to the driveshaft and worry about it at a later date!

More bad news ...I've found the correct joint GSP part number is 801406 ..but every single supplier of this or it compatible is out of stock! Even tried Italy, Spain and Lithuania ..all the same not available. My Only chance is to find one 2nd hand but that's doubtful too .....

Which although they show as out of stock have the manufacturer part number listed at the bottom of the page as FTD222510

Google the manufacturer number brings back a few options, you just need to make sure they're the right bit.

There's often some cross compatability if you start working through the part numbers.

Might give you somewhere to start from.

Failing all that get a shaft and cv that fits the car, do a cut and shut. If you want to post it down, I'll weld it for you. There is allways a way.

Thanks danzac afraid every one that fits is out of stock... I can't understand why....minimutly thanks for the offer to weld a shaft ..believe it or not I've just sold my mig as not working now ... had one for 50 odd years !!! If I can source the bits I'll take you up

This must be some kind of reverse karma or something as my boy has just said "dad the Fix It Again Tomorrow 500 has a new noise", it sounds like the nearside driveshaft

AutoDoc - says it all.

I stopped ordering stuff for my garage from them - as they always send the wrong part - plus now refuse jobs with customer supplied parts from them.

Good luck getting your money back mate. You will be wasting your time trying!

Have you tried J&R Driveshafts ? I don't know your exact model, and not everything they do is on their website. Ring them.

Vehicle park size.
If only a few thousand of something ever get produced, then very few people are likely to bother with parts for them.
Even taking a minimum order of 100 parts, that's a lot of money to be sat on a shelf if you're only likely to sell a handful a year, with the risk they might never all sell.

Welding suspension or driveline parts is an mot failure AFAIK.
