The skint like me have the Geeetechs, got a lot of use out of my A10.The posh rich ones have Prusas. The less affluent ones have Ender 3's and the geeks/ ones that like a challenge have Anycubics.

I can't believe I watched the 1st seven mins of this....then fast forwarded to 20mins and he'd only just opened the box..gave up...so what is so good about the Boron?I do have my eye on one but before you take the plunge: beware.
It is a kit list for hobby builders. Specifically designed by geeks for geeks who love to tinker. I had my finger poised over the button on Alibaba <whatever> then I found this:
What is interesting is that he "calls it" moments after I'd done it. Search Aliexpress for the cheapest one (£850)....
The Voron is really little more than a design exercise bit like Linux. Some fearsome clever chaps come up with an amazing "free" design for the craic. So you can't buy "a Voron" it is vapourware, a list of parts but Chinese sellers have taken that list (near as dammit) then assemble "all" the parts for you (near as dammit) then ship it all in one box.
I am still seriously tempted but the pitfalls are uncountable because no two boxes will ever be the same. The seller is going to find whatever parts will do at the cheapest price they can get and it will be a race to the bottom on pricing. Still, a fantastic machine could be yours at an extreme discount. Fun for people who like to flash their own firmware and modify G code to get things working. When I have six months to spare I'll probably do it too...

Ahh that's a much better video from Thomas. Yes I can see several benefits over say my Prusa Mk3s but on the flip side a glaringly obvious omissions - mesh bed levelling. It may not be required with the larger nozzle sizes and good flat beds initially but I bet with time those beds will warp.
I missed this mate...will pm you over the weekend so you don't think I was being rude or ignoring you.Know what you mean I've been medically retired since I was 44 & 3/4 , I'm now nearly 71 , don't know how I fitted work into my life.
Pop me your name & address by PM .. I've done nine pages of crazy sketches and spidery writing for you to smile at wrt press cutting out the shingles blanks etc. .
