thanks guys thanks for the link too, I take it they are 1/8 BSP i shall get a tap in there and check
thanksThat is an oiler cup with a spring loaded lid. It oils the half nuts I think.
Edit: In fact I think it fills a small gallery to lube the clutch pinion.
The whole drilling is filled so it's just like squeezing toothpaste from a tube.
First postThe screw cutting box does it get greased or just oiled through the oil passages

Can't upload it here. It's too large
Will this be ok it's very thick and stickySomething like this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5L-Slideway-Oil-ISO-32-Way-Oil-Shell-Tonna-T25-5-Litre/121919651458?
For the changewheels I use - http://www.cnctooling.co.uk/molysli...slip-ogl-open-gear-lubricant-mos2-grease.html although some people (Doubleboost, for example) use motorcycle chain lube. You need something sticky.
i ordered one yesterday the other one turned up today but it is not that great!I'm with @R-D-R and I think it was on the back of one of his posts, fedup with rubbish oil can/pump solutions so went with Reilang, it's not foolproof but best I've used to date and thoroughly recommended them

That's the threading dial, when the half-nuts are engaged to cut threads it should stop rotating - idea is that it indicates where the leadscrew in engaged, with the half-nuts disengaged it'll rotate either with the leadscrew rotation or movement of the carriage (or both, of course), when thread cutting you watch it come around and engage the half-nuts at the same point on the dial each time so that the tool will follow the thread you've just cut.Seadog does the gauge on yours lock solid engauged or disengaged depending on what u chose View attachment 180569
the bolt that holds it on does not tighten up the threads are stripped a little inside. That's the threading dial, when the half-nuts are engaged to cut threads it should stop rotating - idea is that it indicates where the leadscrew in engaged, with the half-nuts disengaged it'll rotate either with the leadscrew rotation or movement of the carriage (or both, of course), when thread cutting you watch it come around and engage the half-nuts at the same point on the dial each time so that the tool will follow the thread you've just cut.
