Is it stainless? If it is I would be tempted to patinate it with a blow torch to get a symmetrical coloured pattern on both wings, a mixture of blues and browns would look spot on.

I suspect you are correct. To be fair I am being genuine when saying it would be nice to see some pictures, I enjoy seeing what other people are doing/working on.

Fabric (for motorcycle seats) arrived to cover the bench. I don't do upholstery, so it was on to YouTube for advice. Result I will file in the "good enough" bin:

Edit; The corners were a bugger to get square. So much folding to do. Bah humbug

I removed three siezed 3/8 " BSF drain plugs from the water jacket on a Petter engine with an impact driver, then ran back indoors into the warm.

I'm not going back out until the spring. Or until i man up.

Actually looked at one at a show the other day, I have always liked them,but to see one in the flesh,way better,really liked it, think there is a bit of the green eyed monster welling up ! what a beutifully proportioned/styled/classy mtr.

In 2015 there was a Jensen Interceptor what was for sale in Fareham, it was at the Sutton show in 2015.
It may still be in the area.

It was in Tidy every day use state.
I did not pay it much attention I was busy with other stuff.

The no. plate lamp on my van broke, took it apart, the little steel piece that holds the long bulb had cracked and broke off, so with .6 wire argoshield light and mig turned down to lowest managed to just spot it back together,so van is fully road worthy.
point being if anything is going to get pulled its a dodgy/broken rear light, and if someones in the wrong mood this can lead to hassle or fines I cant afford,so another welding victory,ye.

Harder than it sounds. I cut out some butterflies for a friend that wanted to do that. Didnt really work very well, so i had a go too. My attempt didnt turn out brilliantly so just flap disc'd it back.

They often look nice until you poke and prod them, had to replace most of the floor panels and made a pair of complete sills, doors rusted but repairable and damn difficult to get hold of now; then of course there is the front valence which needs replacing along with the rear arch liners and several other small panels. Mate not too happy about it as he is a tightwad.

Due to certain issues I am sometimes up in the middle of the night.

So I ambled to the play pen (workshop) I try to be a polite neighbour, so 4am is not a time for power tools.
