Started on a frame for a flush deck hatch.
Cut the 3" x 2" x 1/4" 6082 angle up on the saw and then set up the first two sides on my ultra high tech welding bench (bit of box in vice and some clamps )

Welded the corners up, flipped over for the other side then set up the next two sides and repeated.
I then used some more clamps and a couple of scraps of Alu and put the two parts together and welded them.

My new welder arrived today so progress on the frame was halted at 5PM and will continue tomorrow as I weld in the 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" that will be the seal seat, hopefully it will be done with the new welder rather than the older EWM Phoenix.

ooooo could you explain how to work out how to make a cone please as i would like to make some but have no idea how to work out the raduis and bend spacings so you can get the reduction right from one end to the other.Hi
Made a pair of cones from 1.5 Galve sheet and folded on my home made press brake
