I had fun with that when I had a small single council garage: adapting every nook and cranny and space into useful storage, with plywood shelving etc. A bit like living inside a small yacht it was.

Been watching your work on the Britchopper forum mate, wish I had the talent to ‘see within’ material and bring out that beauty.

I am going a bit steampunk on my hot rod, so I have started accruing bits of brass, copper rivets etc. Fingers crossed it comes out looking somewhere decent.

My dashboard is slowly progressing. There are some copper backgrounds to fit round the gauges etc, but still thinking about the rest.

I knocked up a console for the CCTV, LAN, and radio PSUs.
Not quite finished yet, need a few edges sorting out but it came together quite well and is very usable. Made some proper use of the dead space above the stairwell.

Will you need a cotton curtain across the console to stop metallic dust getting in the equipment that's on the console ?
I've resorted to carefully draping half a polycotton bed sheet over/ around my nice new multipurpose welder after I checked the amount of metallic dust stuck to some four inch wide white sticky witness tape I'd put near the welders air intake cooling fan .
The new replacement tape shows hardly any contamination, even after a year of being there.

Ta. All welded & fine for what it's got to do. I'll bear in mind for the future if I need anything "critical" done. As for this pallet buster, a flap disc and etch primer covers a multitude of sins!

The cranked bit is in fact 3 plates, started out straight but that didn't work!

I made a tank connector because I wasn't bright enough to order one.

1" BSP(P) threads, a flange soldered on to save turning down a bigger bar and flats milled for a spanner. An indexing head (And some more horizontal cutters ) is definitely next on my wishlist. No pics after I cleaned it up but here it is fitted;

There's a strainer inside to keep the pump happy and the duct tape is because that hose is temporary and will get swapped for a 1" one that fits the barb soon.

Well, no; it's just general living area dust in there, but good point about manky workshop dust and grinder debris getting into welders via the fans. I've been making PC fan filters from a single layer of J-Cloth, which seems to work quite well, is easily cleaned / rinsed out and dirt cheap. I mount the fan on the outside, place a metal fan grille on it, and rubber-band the J-cloth over the whole thing. I may adapt that for my welders.

Sandblasted the heavily chipped japanning off this and treated it to some appropriately named ‘Ming Blue’. Everyone has black planes and I fancied something to give a bit of ‘pop’ when I use it. Now to find a plane to steal the handles from (I have the frog and cutters)
