Loving that narrative and mill work Hood!
Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you to input the instructions to the CNC for an operation like that?
Just did a quick video of the process. I model it in 3D which makes the CAM have a few more steps. Could have just saved as the sketch and would have cut some time but as I often make up the complete part out of all the different components in 3D then it is the way I do things.
I have a template made up in my CAM so that the basic tools/feeds/operation types are already there and all I have to do is choose the toolpath, makes things a lot quicker even though it took a bit of time to make up the template originally.
If I need to choose different tools or feeds/speeds then it is easily edited and again doesn't take long.
Anyway here is the video, it took a bit longer than normal as the screen recorder software I use is a bit jittery and it puts a delay on mouse movements and clicks, so often I miss and have to click again.
I've started learning on Fusion 360, it is free for personal use. Been using Sketchup before but I am looking for something more capable, Sketchup in particular was so limited in getting drawings to paper or images that I often had more luck just using the print screen button...
Haven't made much lately, working on a sharpening jig to sharpen bandsaw blades (while on the wheel) with a dremel.
Not made by me.
But Mini Me, she saw an idea on here, made a mess of my workshop. but had fun.

One old horse shoe, looks like she found it at the bottom of the box, going by the ones she rejected.
The eyes are cut from an old extinguisher, that's why there are 3 drills out. One for the piolt drill, one because Mini Me needed the 13mm chuck and the 10mm one was no use.
The mouth is a cut off from another shoe, hence why all 4 grinders are out.
Then a M5 bolt brazed on, yes all safety gear out, but bottles turned off.

The back is oak, yes Mini Me used the good work.
That's when it is all finished, but needs waxing and polishing.
So where did the nose disapear to??

Finally all done.
but now Mini Me has disappeared, not in the mess what was made.
So I guess she is out with friends.
Damn! However it was good to see the lathe work and the video showing the CAD program. I'm sure you'll get it working.Ah well, quickly cobbled together a handle and some collars to test out the ring roller and it doesn't work. The round bar just slips and even giving it a helping hand doesn't help
I will try a flat knurled wheel for the driver and see but afraid it will have to go on the back burner for the time being as I need them made today and have loads of work on this week.
hey cool you have the same Parweld TIG we have at work! Plus bendy torch too.
Super glued a spycam to my specs to try and film some welding

Also needing to make some 320mm dia stainless rings from 8mm stainless rod so started to make a quick/nasty ring roller. Cut the backing plate from some old rusty 16mm steel I had lying out the back, will hopefully get a chance to progress with the rest tomorrow.
